Have your say on the future of New Zealand’s PDV Rebate and the 5% Uplift Test

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking feedback on the 2023 changes to New Zealand’s 5% Uplift Test and the Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PDV) Rebate e.g. the lowering of the threshold to $250k.

Currently the PDV is not eligible for the 5% Uplift Test and this survey might be a good opportunity to provide feedback on the PDV's inclusion as a way of increasing digital export growth to meet the government's goal of doubling exports by 2030!

These updates were designed to ensure New Zealand remains a top destination for international film production and post-production work. Now, MBIE needs your insights to understand how these changes are working in practice.

The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and focuses on your organisation’s experiences with the PDV Rebate and 5% Uplift test.

This MBIE survey closes on Oct 25th!! So don’t wait! Your feedback will help shape the future of the rebate.
