NETWORKING
“The networking opportunities at guild events can truly be invaluable to your career development. Membership is worth every cent!”
— Rhys Dippie, VFX Artist at Fathom
Teq Talks in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Whanganui-a-Tara, held in partnership with the Visual Effects Society NZ, are a highlight on the calendar. With packed rooms of artists, students, and studio leaders, these events spark great conversation, showcase cutting-edge work, and offer a chance to hear directly from some of the most experienced voices in the industry.

In partnership with Motion Designers Guild, Climb Club meetups in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Whanganui-a-Tara are all about career growth, connection, and getting out from behind the desk. Designed for early and mid-career artists across motion graphics, VFX, and animation, these casual gatherings mix movement with relaxed conversation. It’s a great option for those who prefer connecting outside of the bar, in a more low-key, informal setting where ideas and experiences can flow naturally between climbs.

Our seasonal pub nights are all about connection—bringing together VFX and animation artists, producers, and businesses for a relaxed catch-up over drinks. Whether it’s chatting about recent projects, sharing industry insights, or simply reconnecting with old friends, these gatherings are a great way to stay in the loop and strengthen our creative community.

In partnership with Miramar Creative Centre, Media Design School, Screen Music and Sound Guild, our regular networking events in Tāmaki Makaurau and Te Whanganui-a-Tara feature inspiring speakers from across the industry—like Terror-Fi, Behope Films, OhuFX, Rising Sun Pictures, Mukpuddy Animation, The Art of Direction, Scale Studios, screen sound designers and compositors. These evenings are a great way to connect with peers, hear behind-the-scenes insights, and spark new ideas across film, VFX, sound, composition and animation.
