We celebrate OHUfx and their incredible team, who have wrapped up a four-year journey on Ti West’s trilogy: "X," "Pearl," and "Maxxxine." Working together, OHUfx and their partners delivered 856 shots across the trilogy. Each collaborator played a crucial role, demonstrating the strength of the industry when we come together.

The New Zealand Tech and Innovation Story, "See Tomorrow First," is a marketing initiative showcasing New Zealand's tech industry globally. It aims to build New Zealand’s reputation as a hi-tech nation, grow tech exports, attract investment and talent, and inspire future generations. The NZ Tech Story’s Video states, “Our Visual Effects are behind some of the highest-grossing films ever made” and “In New Zealand, we don’t just make films, we make the tech that powers the global film industry.”
OHUfx Unites NZ Talent for Ti West’s Trilogy
OHUfx is proud to have delivered over 440 shots for "MaXXXine" with their trusted partners, including Fathom, 808 Ltd, Masters of Reality, and the talented concept artist Paul Tobin. As the VFX showrunner across the entire trilogy—"X," "Pearl," and "MaXXXine"—OHUfx has provided over 800 VFX shots in total, encompassing supervision, conforms, and VFX pulls.
Wellington Trip Highlights
Our Executive Director had a fantastic trip to Wellington, connecting with members and Wellington creative businesses, including: 37 Degrees Studios, Scale, Floating Rock, 808 Ltd, OhuFX, Fox & Co Animation, Lost Cosmonauts, and Kahu Road Studio. The plan was to gain insights especially into the animation and SFX parts of the membership.
