University of Canterbury and Aardman Academy Partnership
We invite the VFX Guild community to join us in celebrating this educational partnership, which will unlock creative potential in the next generation of animators. The University of Canterbury is proud to announce a five-year exclusive agreement with the Aardman Academy. As the only institution in the nation offering this specialised training, the University of Canterbury will provide students with a unique opportunity to learn Aardman’s distinctive stop-motion animation techniques.
Animation students enrolled in the University’s Bachelor of Digital Screen with Honours degree program will have an amazing opportunity to learn from Aardman Academy’s industry experts. This partnership came about through Kōawa, an initiative by the University of Canterbury “that aspires to co-create the future of the global screen and creative technology industries through collaboration, innovation and education.”
